goal 3 - has begun

So...TWO THINGS

1 - Today was my first day of training for my new job at PRC. And I have to say...I'm very encouraged by the company. Today we talked a lot about the company and what the work environment will actually be like. It's so supportive and encouraging. Our trainer kept talking about how everyone is a coach and will encourage you in your work because they know that you're in an environment where you'll want to encourage others. It just sounds so healthy. Very cool.

2 - GOAL 3 HAS STARTED! Today was also my first official day of grad school. It's kind of cool how it's all working. I was able to log into my classroom the other day and check things out...but I have to say, it's nice to get to do school this way. It's very much at my pace. I already have all of my assignments done for the week. It's not like I had to wait for the prof to get them to me. They're all there...ready to be finished. A lot of the class will be discussion that will happen on message boards and things like that. Another thing that is really encouraging about Walden University is that some of my classmates went to other online universities for their undergrad and they all decided that Walden would be a better fit for them for their grad work. One of them was even talking about how profs at this one online university didn't care if a person didn't do work while on a group project because it still got finished. That's just not cool! I'm glad I'm at a place where I have heard great things by students that I know personally. The person that recommended Walden to me had nothing but great things to say about it and he even said that when he goes back to get his Ph.D he'll attend Walden. Awesome.

So yeah, besides the fact that I'm congested, have a headache, a runny nose, and am coughing...the day went really well! I'm excited for this part of my life! We'll see where it goes!!

That's all.
