goal 4 - again again

Ok, so I read a lot more than I originally thought. Here's another book that I've read this month. Though, I can't believe it's taken me this long to actually get it and read it. (It only took me two days to read it.)

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Sooooooo good. If you haven't read this book. Buy it. Read it. Live it.

In my reading of this book, I was having a difficult time figuring out what my love languages would be. Turns out, after I took the quiz in the back, that I have two big ones with a third that's pretty close. My #1 is: Word of Affirmation. My #2: Physical Touch. Both of these totally make sense. And then #3: Quality Time is a pretty close third. I'd love to get into what all these mean...but I'd end up writing a pretty long entry. And I'm not really up for that. But, I can tell you, it hits it right on the money.

I've talked with Andy a little bit about the book...but I look forward to delving into it with him and seeing what his love language is...though I could probably guess...and sharing with him what mine are. Though I have to say, he's good at all of them. He's constantly showing me how much he cares for me. :)

That's all.

  • this book literally changed our relationship. we really thought we knew how to show each other love and we kind of did but until we read this we couldn't put our own needs into words- plus sometimes it just helps to hear it from someone else. i think it's a great read for friends too.

mine is quality time and grant's is words of affirmation. it turnes out that even though we knew the other person liked those things we didn't really know how to do them.

i can't wait until andy reads this book- you guys are going to have a great time talking about it!!

love you. and missed you at the mtg. today. i couldn't make it. but i will see you soon!
