what a wonderful christmas - now a new year begins
So, it's been a while since I have updated this thing. Not much has happened. I'll be in Florida one week from today. I feel like it's been forever since I talked with Mark, the priest from Florida. And I feel like this trip has been forever in the making. But finally, only a week away!!
Christmas was wonderful. My oldest brother, Scott, was in town. I can't remember the last time that he was with us for Christmas morning and all of our traditions. It was great. The only thing that stunk was that my other brother, Bradley, ended up having to work on Christmas day and so we only saw him for the morning. That's no fun. But the whole season has been so great.
As I have said many times in my last few entries, I've been re-reading The Lord of the Rings. Which, by the way, today in my reading, the Ring was destroyed! And now Aragorn is about to go into Minas Tirath to be crowned the King of Gondor! Anyway, my favorite gift this Christmas was, no doubt, getting the extended edition of The Return of the King. Which I spent the monday and tuesday after Christmas watching...with the cast commentary and all of the special features. It was incredible. I know, I'm a dork. But I don't care.
My roommate, from last year, Kristy, got married the day after Christmas. It was a beautiful wedding. She and Christian looked so happy and like they were having such a wonderful time. She looked beautiful. The whole time was so exciting. Not to mention the fact that my roommate Leanne caught the bouquet! How cool is that?! But anyway, Kristy and Christian will now reside in Alabama where he is in the army. If I get this job in Florida, I hope to be able to keep in touch with Kristy considering we'll be a lot closer, state-wise, than she will be to others up here in the 'Burgh.
Alright, well, I think I'm going to get going. I really don't feel like typing anymore. It's been a lame New Year's Eve and Day. But, I won't get into that.
Prayer Requests:
* Florida Interview in Florida Jan 8-11. yay!
* Wisdom for this job process
* If the interview goes well - wisdom in finding housing and a car
* Peace for my parents
peace all,
~Jenna
