i chose Him - He chose me
So how ironic is this? Yesterday, I talked about being still before the Lord, and today in chapel, one of our student chaplains, Abby, talked about God's amazing love for us. But with this, she gave a picture of what she was meaning by it. Abby didn't mean the "usual" "Christ gave up His life for us" type love. She meant the "you chose Me" type love. She was comparing it to when a baby or child falls asleep in your arms. When you fall asleep while praying to God, He is so thankful that you chose Him to fall asleep on. I think this picture is so beautiful. Because while we, as lovers of God, are with the mindset "He chose me" - God is also like that! Have you ever really thought about that?
But, then along with that - do you have the mindset - or should I say "heart-set" - of "God chose me"? Because if you don't, why don't you? Have you just never thought about it? Do you not agree? What is it that keeps you from this choosing?
These are things I was thinking about in chapel and my missions class. Is my heart always grateful that God chose me? Is my heart always wanting to choose God? This is tough stuff to deal with and think about and struggle with. I'll leave you with these thoughts to think about.
Prayer Requests:
* My Roommate Leanne - she is doing better, but still in pain
* My Job Search - The whole Texas thing
* My last 2 months at Geneva
* Wisdom
Peace all -
