atlanta - our first month-ish
So, we've been here in the ATL for a little over a month now and I wanted to share some pictures of life. There's been a lot going on...and yet not a lot. Odd...I know...just like me.
First let me share with you some pictures of the first snow that Atlanta has seen in three years. Not only did it snow...but it did twice in three days. We only had a grand total of about 3-4 inches, cumulative. But, it was beautiful to see. Here are some pictures for you. Please also enjoy the lovely pictures of Mike, Andy's brother, throwing snowballs at Moe, the yellow lab. Also, note the pictures of the kids sled-riding and destroying the green behind the house.

Now, we come to Gretchen's (Andy's mom) birthday! Check out the sweet hats we bought!! Jim, Andy's dad, looks awesome. He's definitely wearing the elastic from the hat around his nose. And Moe, of course looks silly with his hat on. But, the Stelten tradition for birthdays is to have a homemade yellow cake with homemade chocolate frosting. So, Andy made the cake and icing and we decorated it. It's a beautiful cake!! :)

And now for Andy's favorites. Here he is with Chipper (a chocolate lab), his "bestest buddy". Chipper is the old man of the house. And he's a sweetheart.

Here's some silly pictures of the kitties in their room. You'll see Cato in some of his favorite spots. He's either curled up next to the heater (we still don't get it) or else he's under the desk chair. Charlie is just silly in all of his weirdness. Then there's the creepy picture of them looking at the camera. Weirdos. Be sure to notice the picture where Charles is sitting in front of my laptop...yeah, I was trying to write a paper for school last weekend. Needless to say, he wanted some attention. Then as soon as I stood up to take the picture...Cato jumps up onto my chair. They are silly.

And here are me and Andy on Valentine's Day. He asked me what I wanted and I told him, "To watch a movie by ourselves." Needless to say, his work schedule has been crazy and we haven't been able to have much "us" time. So, that's what we did. We watched Pride and Prejudice. It was lovely. And look at the cute little puppy he got me! His name is Puppy. I'm creative, right!?

The kitties thought Puppy should be sniffed...and thoroughly.

Now we come to the last bit. Meet Richard!!!

Yes, I finally got my GPS system for my car. His name is Richard. So, thus, my car has now adopted the name. It only took a full 3 years for me to finally name my car. I like Richard. It sounds distinguished.
Well, that looks to be about it, for now. I'm sure there will be an update of news and pictures soon.
