pbs - and emergent

PBS has done a piece on "the emerging church." watch it or read it - just check it out here: PBS piece

I think it was done quite well. Doug Pagitt, Brian McLaren, and Tony Jones had a lot of good stuff to say about emergent. Not to mention there's some great footage of Solomon's Porch. Other then that - there was a professor from North Park University, Scot McKnight, who had some good stuff to say about emergent as well.

All in all - it was sweet to see some video coverage from the emergent convention in may. Yeah - I was definitely looking to see if there was a shot of me - no such luck. :)

My only criticism - the guy from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Don Carson, didn't seem very open to the whole idea of emergent. He was pretty, well honestly, tight-assed about it. I think he might be a fan of the "keep it all in the box - if it's outside the box it is evil" thing. Hmm - funny how I'm writing a book about all of this now.

Yes - I did just say I'm writing a book. But I'll talk about that later.
