just - breathe

Now while this might not be the deepest and most intellectual post I've ever written - I must get it out -

Brandtson's newest record Send Us A Signal is absolutely incredible. And I want to apologize to Zachary James for not getting it sooner. You were completely right when you told me last fall just how good this album really is.

Since the last time I saw Brandtson, Cornerstone last summer, I have been pining for this album - and absolutely in love with the song "Just Breathe." The way that the chorus just screams at you is - amazing. I remember being at their show and just being amazed by the whole performance. I couldn't get enough of it. Alex even put the song on my "hunna hunna mix" for me before I moved to Florida so that I could listen to it. The lyrics just rip at you - - and I love it.

Though - now that I have the album at my disposal - I've seen myself loving the song "Escapist" even more than "Just Breathe." The melody and beat of the whole song is just so different from anything that Brandtson has ever done before - and I think it sounds good for them. It almost has the beat of Incubus' "Are You In?" from Morning View. I love it -

All in all - this whole album is fantastic! Their sound has completely evolved from what it was in Fallen Star Collection. I love that album - it's great - but Send Us A Signal doesn't even compare.

Let me say it again - buy this album! You'll most likely have to get it online because I've never seen it at Best Buy or anything like that - or you'll have to see them live and get it straight from them.
